Ming is a Multimedia Composer who began their journey with professional piano and violin performance, excelling in jazz and classical music. Distinguished by a unique compositional style that combines Chinese heritage with Western musical practice (romantic & New Music), Ming brings a unique musical perspective.
Beyond sheet music and DAWs, Ming has ventured into the realm of sound design. Their redesign of the audio for "CONTROL" garnered significant acclaim, leading to Ming being honored as one of the four 2024 Game Audio Network Guild Scholars in sound design and subsequently invited to attend GDC 2024.
In the realm of new media, Ming's primary interest lies in virtual reality. He and his team are currently spearheading a groundbreaking project within Apple Vision Pro aimed at developing visualized audio. The project's innovative purpose is to create visual representations of sound shapes, enabling individuals with hearing impairments to perceive and understand the meaning of sounds. By translating audio into visual cues, Ming's project aims to empower deaf individuals to make informed judgments based on the visualized information, bridging the gap between sound and sight in an unprecedented way.
